The Journal of Astronomical History and Heritage (JAHH) was founded by John Perdrix and Wayne Orchiston in 1998. The journal publishes refereed research papers, review papers, short communications, IAU reports, and book reviews on all aspects of astronomical history and heritage. This includes studies that place the nature and evolution of astronomy in a political, economic, social, historical, and cultural context.
JAHH is published by the University of Science and Technology of China. The journal publishes issues quarterly in March, June, September, and December. All papers are refereed prior to publication.
JAHH is published online only and is fully open-access. JAHH is registered through Scopus with a 2022 impact factor of 0.94.
All papers are freely available on this site and on the SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System.
